Wirlix is on a mission to eliminate media bias by making it easier for people to understand both sides of today’s pertinent issues. We strive to provide more objectivity and freedom of thought to social media and the way we understand controversial topics.

We are launching our app Jan 31 and we are seeking a marketing team member for three months to help assist us with capturing our first 5,000 email/phone number sign ups on our website www.wirlix.com, manage our social media and help us promote the app on other social channels and through ads and creative promotions. This job can be full-time if the three month engagement is successful.

The job is remote. The time period for the role is three months and the pay is $250/mo with the opportunity to make $1,250/mo. Each month you will have a goal to add 1,500 phone numbers/email addresses to our sign up list through our website. You will have a budget of $250/mo to achieve these goals. If the goal is reached, you will receive a $1,000 bonus on top of your $250/mo base. If not, you will get a percentage of commission. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a startup and who is passionate about taking on a multi-faceted marketing role working hands on with other team members.

• Connections to debaters/young adults (21-30) interested in media and discussing current events

• Connection to a wide variety and diverse range of college students or people aged 22-30

• Time Management and Organizational Skills

• Administrative skills, time management and ability to deliver high quality work based on clear guidelines and instructions

• Resourceful. We’re looking for someone who can take clear goals and ensure they will see these goals are met.
• 15-20 hours per week to commit to role

Job Responsibilities

• Brainstorm creative marketing strategies with founder and establish three month marketing plan based on above goals which you will be responsible for executing on.
• Manage Wirlix’s social media pages (daily posting).
• Create list of targeted groups on Reddit and instagram.
• Post in targeted fb groups/reddit groups/ etc. to promote app.
• Prepare and design social media posts alongside our graphic designer.
• Prepare and design social media ads alongside our graphic designer.
• Track social media engagement
• Grow landing page sign-ups.
• Grow social media following and engagement.
• Manage landing page design on squarespace
• Reach out to influencers to collaborate on creative content.
• Message competitive debaters, influencers and potential users within target demographic
• Manage email and text newsletter to keep people who have signed up engaged.
• Prepare for our first launch (Nov 15) and have engaged beta users ready to use product.
• Utilize $500/mo budget to run social media ads, pay influencers and run creative sweepstakes to meet monthly goals.
