What you will doHe/she will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic plans to drive sales through the independent manufacturer representative channel for Johnson Controls’ Enviro-Tec brand. You will be responsible for achieving annual regional revenue, gross margin and increasing market share. This individual will be supporting customers in Eastern U.S. and Canada, approximately all states east of the Mississippi River.How you will do itDevelop and manage relationships with Rep firms driving focus on Enviro-Tec Fan Coil Units (FCU) and VAV products.Establish and maintain close relationships with sales management and ownership for each Rep firm.Monitor AHRI market share, and establish and manage action plans to meet/exceed share expectations.Conduct revenue and business review with Rep firm sales management/principal, and initiate action plans and selling strategies as needed to assure revenue plan is achieved.Provide detailed FCU/VAV/BCU product and software selection tool training.Assist sales force in achieving Basis of Design for Enviro-Tec product in project mechanical specifications.Provide technical product presentations, including lunch and learns, to consulting engineers, owners, and contractors.Assist in driving implementation of new product launches.Attend and represent Enviro-Tec at local trade shows.Analyze local competitive landscape and develop specific game plan to maximize product sales to overcome competitive obstacles.Provide feedback to product management on options/features needed to meet competitor’s product, and option/features needed to differentiate JCI from the competition.Assist Rep firms with project quotation, including review of project plans and specifications, to develop appropriate bill of material.Develop monthly rolling six month revenue forecast.Assist with development of annual sales quotas.Continuously analyze local market and Rep dynamics making sure we are aligned with the best partners.Significant use of Salesforce, including customer business plans, goals, objectives, strategic initiatives, and action plans required to achieve revenue goal. Also involves entries for larger projects that have been quoted for regular meetings to discuss suitability of project backlog. What we look forRequiredBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field.Minimum 5 years’ HVAC experience in the Design/Build, Design/Assist or Plan and Specification market.Strong understanding of all types of FCUs and VAV terminals.Minimum 5 years’ developing and managing a sales plan, and successfully delivering revenue.Minimum 5 years’ technical sales and marketing experience.Ability to command and influence audience, with polished presentation skills.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Outstanding organizational and communication skills.Proficiency in managing multiple projects at the same time.Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.Collaborative and strong interpersonal skills.Excellent time management skills.Ability to travel up to 35% of time.Dedicated home office.PreferredMBA or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering degree.Experience with Customer Relationship/Sales Management tools; e.g. Salesforce.Knowledge of Listing Agencies- UL and ETL.Experience supporting/leading third party independent representative sales channel.Experience supporting a manufacturing facility.Johnson Controls International plc. is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, genetic information, status as a qualified individual with a disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
