✏️ Network with the people above – engage with their posts/updates, show an interest. Build a relationship. Give them a reason to have interest in you.
✏️ Set up calls and talk to as many connections as you can.
✏️ Use your posts to talk about your job searching experience – what you are looking for – Tag others to help with engagement and awareness.
✏️ Personalize your resume for each position you apply – use keywords and requirements that are relevant – IMO…keep your resume clean, to the point, high level details to get the interview and to be through the ATS.
✏️ Use hashtags to search for open positions that others are posting. Example #nowhiring #marketingcommunications
✏️ Have no shame – don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and what you are looking for and the value you bring.
✏️ Treat your job search as a job – you have a goal, ways to approach and measure what is and is not working.
✏️ If something isn’t working…switch things up, be different and stand apart.
✏️ Ask for help, there are a lot of people out there helping
✏️ Take breaks – a job search is an emotional roller coaster
