a Web site that went live in June 2000, has experienced exponential
growth in the last few months, with over 400 listings from more
than 300 local employers, said its creator, Bernie Fussenegger.
Unlike many
job-search sites, CareerBarn.com, offers job hunters timely
postings by area employers, as well as other beneficial services.
"By focusing only on the Louisville area, and by posting and removing
job listings on a daily basis, we can better serve both employers
and potential employees," Fussenegger said.

Fussenegger
said he thinks the site's usage has grown rapidly for a few reasons.
"CareerBarn.com is a local company that helps other local companies.
With our knowledge of Louisville and the surrounding areas, a business
can specifically target its message for this market."
Matt Haury,
owner of Xxtreme Kleen (www.xxtremekleen.com),
a commercial and industrial cleaning company, has received about
a dozen responses in a month and a half since being listed on the
site, and said CareerBarn.com is the way he'll continue to communicate
with potential employees. "I think CareerBarn.com is the future
of finding jobs in the Louisville area. I've gotten a great return
for very little cost."
