RN liaison that communicates clinical information to referring hospitals that transfer trauma patients to Grant Medical Center, requiring care from a verified trauma center in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code. The Referring Hospital Coordinator enhances the relationship between GMC and referring hospitals throughout areas of Ohio and surrounding states in order to promote a collaborative networking system required for a successful state trauma system.
Verifies clinical data collected by the trauma registry, strengthening the process and quality improvement efforts for GMC and referring hospitals.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
RN Licensed in State of Ohio, BSN
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Trauma patient care, computer skills
KIND AND LENGTH OF EXPERIENCE
5 years
Additional Job Information
Part time (20 hours per week) with flexible days of work and start/end times. Great opportunity for a Bachelors-prepared RN to promote the Trauma Program at Grant Medical Center. This position provide follow-up contact to the outlying hospitals that send their Trauma patients to GMC providing information about the patients plan of care. They will also visit hospitals to explain our Trauma Services and promote our programs. In addition, they will do outreach with other trauma organizations in educating the healthcare community. Previous Trauma/ED/ICU experience is preferred for this position.

Position Summary
This position is a shared faculty position jointly funded by Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and the Doctor's Hospital Department of Medical Education. He/She coordinates programs with DH Family Practice Residency, Department of Medical Education, Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the Department of Pharmacy at Doctor's Hospital.
Minimum Qualifications
PhD in Pharmacy and completion of pharmacy practice residency; Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Ohio
