As a Senior Underwriter in Middle Market, your primary role is to be a Market Leader. You will actively participate in local leadership meetings and present a positive image for the Underwriting team. You will be responsible for attracting and retaining a diversified team of underwriters as well as managing and developing a less experienced underwriting staff. You will have underwriting responsibilities which will include managing your own portfolio. You will also partner with the Market Manager to define a clear understanding of the credit appetite of the market and work with the Market to balance both sales and credit quality goals. You will be the "go-to" person for Market Managers, Division Managers, Sr. Credit Execs, and Credit Execs for all credit issues within his/her portfolio.
